<R> John Allin sarieant to Captain Edward Fisher at present in talloe in garrysoon sayth as followeth that james talbot coming in to talloe the Clarkes wyfe of the towne caelled this Examynant and toeld hym that on Mr talbot was alighted from his hors, and was gon in to an alhows therby and desired to speake with som of the gward, whervppon this Examynant went to the sayd talbot and asked hym from whence he came, whoe answered he came owt of the County of washford this Examynant replied is it dayngerows for youe to ride alone vppon which talbot sayd he had bin long in the County of washford against his will and nowe had got away from them sayd further that he had sent a letter the day before toe Captain Reeves to com to hym with half a dossen of hors, and if he did not find this talbot at talloe he showld find hym in another place which this Examynant haeth forgotten and further this Examynant sayth that <S> after he browght mr talbot in to the lord Arch byshopes howse, hee sawe talbot writ a letter to the lady butlers husband to speake to Captain reeves to com to to hym further sayth that that in this Examynantes hearing james talbot sayd that he sawe the Irishe runing away by ballysonnon saying they lost seven skore men or therabowght amonght which were som better heades then those that the Army browght some being of the Cavenahes, this Examynant asked talbot if he rid with no other weapons then only his rapiar talbot sayd he had a skeane & a dart the skeane he lost by the way and the dart was broken by a faell from his hors, the sayd talbot vaunting sayd that he woold be on of the 400 that showld goe throwghe all the County of washford and more sayth not
