The The examinacion of William Behon taken the day and yeare aforesaid.
<t> Who being examined and sworne to so much as concerneth others sai sayeth that when he heard of that the english army was comming towards the castle of Clongowes wood he being the heard of the towne and thinking to haue gone abroade to haue looked to his charge yet hearing some gunne goe off and the rumor being that the be english army

<v> was comming neere he fled into the Castle for safeguard of his life hauing not beene there in a month or six weekes before, and saieth that he heard of the murder of an Englishmand and a woman but doth not knowe who killed them or whether they were killed by mischaunce or no, and yet confesseth that he knewe what became of the child and that it was sent home to dunheda, and further answeareth not to any question but what is cleared by the former examinates, and agreeth with them both for the number of the gunnes that were in the castle the number of the pikes and most of the parties that used them; and further deposeth not.
