<15 Exw> Marie Cornes of Castle cumber widowe deposeth that she was robbed of cattell and howshold stuff worth ix li. xviij s., by Tirlogh Brenan Teig Brenan Edward Brenan John Brenan of the Clonnard in the said Countie, & the Butlers, about the last of November last, And saith that Captain ffarrell being overlayd with people in the Castle, and discharging them they were mett with by 200 of the said Rebells, and some were taken, driven like Cattle and stript againe & againe of euery thing & soe came to Athy, And one child of a yere & a half old was stript, Twoe children (besides her husband carried along, of that cruell vsage lost their lives, They the Rebells havinge threatened to hang, to shoote & cutt them, Jur 5o Aprilis, 1642 coram Johe Sterne et Ran: Adams
