The examinacion of
Luke Marrell of Rathcoffy yeoman taken before mee William Hilton one of the Barrons of his Maiesties cowrt of exchequer this 5 of July 1642 [ ]
The examinat saith
<g> That for a yeare and a half now Last past he was Butler to Nicholas owgan at Rathcoffy and since the begining of these warrs Captaine Gilbert Tallbott and Thomas Dongan whoe were in rebellion and some of the walshes being allso in rebellion were severall tymes releevd by mr owgan butt what quantyty of powder or amunition the sayd owgan had in the sayd castle or from whence he had any powder or amunition he knoweth not. and further saith that he never did hurt to any
