The examynation of Nicholas Belue of Callett Rath in the County of Dublin Gent taken before vs
Daniell Huchinson & John Bysse Esquires Justisses of Peace in the Province of leinster the 17o No: 1652.
The sayd Nicholas beeinge duly sworne & examyned sayth that soone after the tyme that Justis Donlon was wownded hee this examinant was at the house of the sayd Justiss Donlon & heard him Relate that Patrick Keragan (with others was at the woundinge of him & was one of the chiefest actors in the killinge (or murderinge) of the Captain Blundell & the Rest that weare killd when hee was wownded, and further sayth that one Jo Heard (a trooper) tould this examinant (severall tymes since) that hee the sayd heard was at Sprickles towne in the Company of Mr francis Dillon, presently after the murder afforesayd was done - and that hee heard the said Dillon say when hee (& the examinant said heard) sawe the said Keragan Cominge Rydeinge towards them at Spreckls towne - Yonder is that murderous villayn Keragan or words to that Purpose & when Keragan Came neer, the said Dillon bade him stand off for hee was a murderous Roge - & that the wholl Cuntrye would fare the worse for him in Regard of that murder done by him & by
