on the behalfe of Richard Butler
Henry ffisher of Drumagole an aged man saith hee lived neer Castle Cumber when it was beseiged saith that hee heard that one Lewis Davis was killed & William Stretto{n} & saith that Mr Richard Butler saved this deponent & his brothers life & many others & saith that divers men Englishmen wer prisoners in Kilkenny & the said Richard Butler became bound to the Lord Mountgarret for them & they wer sett at libertie, and farther saith that Richard Butler was never a Captaine.
And hee saith that Dermot Brenan was reputed an honest man
