The Examination of Luce Swift of Ballyraggett aged 22 yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath the 14th of September 1652.
The said Examinants being duely examined saith that she lived in Idough in the Begining of the Rebellion and being demaunded whether she knewe of any murthers that were comitted in Idough she saith that one Lews Dauis a welshman was murthered by James mc William o Brenan now in prison and James mc Donnell liuing somewher in Idoughe, and <A> that one William Streaton was murthered by one Melaghlin mc Teig liuing now some where in Idoughe and that Mr Barnaby Dempsie hanged this Examinantes godmother Luce Coale at in his owne towne where ther he then liued. and further saith that she sawe one Thomas Euers at C of Cloghmolin pl at the plundereing of William Matthews and the other English men people in Idoughe. and further saith not. that she sawe one of the said William Matthews Cowes and a heifer in the possession of one Mortagh mc Dermott of Cruitte, & further saith not . that she sawe six horses of of the said Matthewes on the lands of Coolneline in Tho: Butlers possession & further saith not
