<January 27 1652> The Examinacion of Katherine Cusicke widdow about the y age of 25 [ ] yeares of age being sworne and examined sayth
That shee was the husband of Patrick Cusick who was by John Elliott Murthered (as this deponent was truely informed) about midsumer or shortly after in the yeare 1651 between Sclanduffe and Dainston and the reason of her knowledge further is that she was sent for by messenger from her husband who lay at Lsclanduff in the house of Thomas Duffe Deadly wounded by the sayd John Elliott (as her husband before he dyed told her) and her husband alsoe told her that he was soe wounded as aforesaid before at the place aforesayd. and she further sayth that she came to her husband the morning after her said husband was soe wounded and there continued with him till he dyed of the sayd wound which was vpon the Tewsday after he had receiued the sayd wound and further sayth not.
