James Grant of Maglas being sworne & examined concerning the aforesaid William Esmond saith
That hee this examinant was a soldier vnder Capt Tho Rossiter against the fort of duncannon from Twelfe daie 41 where hee Contynued till a weeke befor Easter following, In which tyme hee sawe the said William Esmond, with horse & Armes & his ser two seruants Tho: Graye & Rich: Esmond in Armes also & marching in the said Rossiters Company, & saith that about the begining of March 41 the English of the ffort sallyed forth & the Irish forces & they skirmished one against with the other & the said William Esmond on his horse did then engage with the Irish against the English
