The Examinacion of William Stafford gent taken on behalfe of the Commonwealth concerninge George Cheeuers of Great Killiane in the Countye of Waxford Esquire desessed
<to the 1st interro:> this deponent sath that the said George liued at his howse aforesaid in the first yeare of the warr and many yeares since after in the tyme of the warr while it was the Irish Quarters and such that the said George might haue remoued them hime selfe into the English quarters as <d> some English did, but not without hazard to the losse of his Estate
<to the 2 interro:> this deponent sath that the said George at the tyme of the Lord Cramwells Cominge into the Countye of Waxford in obedience to a proclamacion of the Lord of Ormond then Generall of the Irish forces did <e> remoue himeselfe parte of his famelye and stocke out of the said Countye of Waxford into the remote quarters of the Irish
<to the 3d interro:> this deponent sath that the said George did actually Contrebute in the first yeare of the warr in the publicke leuies of the <f> Countrye for the maintaynance of the Irish forces
<to the 4th interro:> he can not depose

6th interrogatoryes> this doponent sh sath that the said George did ab in the first yeare of the warr and since was at seuerall publicke mettings and did Joyne in Electinge supreame and prouinciall Concellers

<to the 8th interro:> he Can not depose
<to the 9th interro:> this deponent sath that the said George was Chose{n} one of the Countye Councell, but whether the said George did acte or noe this deponent knoweth not, and that he was soe Chosen in the yeare <g> 1641, and the said George was a member and did serue in seauerall generall asembles
<to the 10th interro:> this deponent sath that the said George had a brother by naime John Cheeuers that <h> was a Leiuft to Collonell Browne in the first or second yeare of the warr or in both
<to the 11th interro:> he Can not depose
<to the 12th interro:> this deponent sath that one mr Waddington an Englishman and then a protestant did Complaine to this deponent that some of his the said Waddingtons goods beinge imbarked for England, was was from the aboard the said barke plundered and brought to the howse of the aforesaid George but by whome this deponent knoweth not and this in the verye begininge of the warr
