The examinacion of Dauid Deuereux of Knockhowlin aged about fiftie two yeares, taken on the behalfe of the Comonwealth vpon oath Concerning Thomas Devereux of the Ring of Tacumshane in the County of wexford husbandman vpon the Interrogatories annexed to the Commission of enquiry
<To the 1st interr> The Examinant deposeth & saith that the said Thomas dwelte neere the deponent in the parish of Tacumshane in the County of wexford in the Irish quarters in the first yeare and the whole time of the rebellyon, & did not thence remooue into the english quarters as the deponent Conceiues he might haue done, with mr Nichas Codd <p> & other protestants Liuing neere him the said Thomas his cause of knowledge is that he was a neere Neighboure to the said Thomas Deuereux
<To the 2d inter> Hee cannot depose, otherwise then in the former &c
<To the 3d interr> The deponent saith that he being nigh neighboure to the said Thomas as aforesaid is confident that the said Thomas did equallie contribute with the deponent & others of [ ] <q> the Countrey as well in raysing & maintayning a man or men out of the peere wherein he dwelte to be of the trayne band as in all other publicque taxes it being soe generall that none were excepted as he beleiues
<To the 4th Inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 5th Inter> Hee deposeth and saith that as well the first yeare of the rebellion as sithence the deponent hath seen the said Thomas personallie present at the publicque meetings of the Irish at the crosse of <r> Killinnicke in the barrony of forth, in order to consulte of the applotting of moneys & other things for carrying on the warre against the english - his cause of knowledge appeares

<To the 7th inter> The examinant deposeth and saith that he beliues that the said Thomas did take the oath of associacion <s> the cause of the deponents beleife is for that the deponent heard from his wife, that the masse doores of the parish of Taminshane, wherein the said Thomas liueth were shut, & noe man permitted to departe till he
