The Examinacion of Phelim Redmond late of Balliloskie gentleman aged thirtie twentie eight yeares of thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Edward Keinslie of Balliwalter Begg In the barronie of Ballaghkeen and Countie of wexford gent, vpon certaine Interrogatoryes Exhibited on the behalfe of the Comonwealth.
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant saith and Deposeth that he well knew the said Edward for that he dwelt about a mile distant from this deponents Residence, the first yeare, and the residue of the rebellyon, without remoouing himselfe into the english quarters <o> as sir Walsingham Cooke knight Edward Chichester esquire Henry Masterson, and Abell Ram gentleman, that were protestants and nigh neighbours to the said Edward Keinsly, did. His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent did Liue neere to the said Edward all the time of the Rebellyon as aforesaid.
<To the Rest of> the Interrogatoryes as touching the said Edwardes actings in the time of the warre, & before the <p> accesse of the english forces into the County of wexford the examinant cannot depose, But being demanded of his actings since, saith That after the said Edward with the deponents father & other the Inhabitants of the said Barronie of Ballaghkeen had submitted to his Excellency the Lord generall Cromwells protecion, & became contributary to his Armie in the yeare 1649:
the said Edward tooke vp Armes against the english gouerment, & became an horseman or trooper in the troop & vnder the Comand of Capt Laurence Esmond, & there continued in the Irish seruice, till the Irish partie submitted vppon Articles: The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said Edwards dwelling was within

a mile to the deponents said Edwards habitacion as aforesaid And for that the deponent did see the said Edward in his owne howse for seauerall monthes after the Reducement of wexford Liuing peaceably as a protected person, and did see the said Edwards Name, & in the cesseroll of the english contribucion raysed by and for the english forces, And that <q> after that the deponent did see the said Edward riding in the said Captain Esmonds troope in Armes, about the Countrey, gathering of their maintenance, & contribucion from this deponents neighbours, and further saith not &c
