William Stafford of Tamon gentleman aged thirty nyne yeares or thereaboutes deposeth concerning the said Thomas Codd of Garrilough gent, that the said Thomas was a member of the County Councell in the precinckt of Wexford in the first yeare of the warre & was vsually at & acting with the said Councell and did signe such warrantes as frequently came before that Councell for <b> raysing monyes and contriving managing other matters in order to the defending of the countrey & the carrying on the said warre against the english to which Councell the examinant was Clearke at that time & did see the said Thomas in the said Councell the time and manner aforesaid & afterwardes the said Thomas was Joyned with the deponent and & Imployed to act as one of the Commissioners of the Armie and further saith not &c
