The examinacion of Patricke Lacy of Eniscorthy yeoman aged fiftie yeares or thereabouts, taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Richard Synnott of Balliroe in the barrony of Ballaghkeen and County of Wexford gent deceased
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant deposeth that the said Richard dwelt & Balliroe in the barrony & County aforesaid in the Irish quarters the first yeare of the rebellyon & afterwardes till hee <f> dyed) distant about two miles from this deponents dwelling and did not thence remooue into the english quarters as <diuers> his english & protestants in & neere the said barrony did
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> The Deponent saith that the said Richard did contribute his share of publicque chardges as well of money as of victualls for the maintenance of the Irish forces raysed in order to oppose the english as well the first yeare <g> of the rebellyon and as since And that likewise the said Richard did act and abet the said Rebellion & the Robberye{s} then & therein Comitted He vpon the english and protestants His cause of knowledge is for that hereafter appeares
<To the 5th interr> The deponent saith that he did see the said Richard at seauerall publicque meetings of the Irish in the first yeare of the Rebellyon and sithence in diuers places of the said barrony of Ballaghkeen where their frequent place assemblyes were accustomed to be houlden in order to the furthering the said Rebellyon.
<To the 6th inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 7th interr> The deponent saith that he verily beleiues the said Richard did take the oath of associacion which was a generall thing
<To the 8th 9th & 10th> Hee cannot depose
<To the 11th & 12th Inter> The deponent saith that one Mr Smith a minister being brother in law to the said Richard dwelt vpon a parcell of <h> the landes of Balliroe parte of the said Synnots estate from whence the said Smith in the first beginning of the Rebellyon fled to Dublin for safeguard of his life being possest of corne cattle & other goods of a very considerable vallue which goods and cattle were taken into Custodie by the said Richard Synnot by what order or

or authority he knoweth not: This deponents cause of knowledge is in that this deponent was frequently at the said Mr Smiths howse & did know his substance & after the said Smiths Recesse the deponent did see the said Smiths goods and Cattle in the keeping and among the said Richard Synnots cattle as the said Synnots property
