The examinacion of Edward Sinnot of Roslare yeoman aged about fortie foure yeares taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Jesper Codd of the Island mathew ffurlong: Patr Ewers of Roslare in the said County of Wexford & concerning Mathew Joyce of Roslare in the County aforesaid
<To the 1st Interr> Hee deposeth and Saith that he well knew the said Jesper Codd Patricke Ewers & Mathew Joyce before the rebellion & to his personall knowledge the said Jesper Patricke and Mathew Liued in the County of wexford in the Irish quarters <t> the first yeare & the whole time of the rebellyon and that neyther they nor any of them did remooue into the english quarters as diuers english As master Burdeaux Mr Codd Mr Waller then Liuing neere them did
<To the 2d> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d interr> The examinant deposeth and saith that he beleiues the said Jesper Patricke & Mathew did beare & pay their proporcions of publicque Levyes reflecting vpon the countrey for Maintenance & payment of the <u> Irish forces then raysed against the english it being a generall thing
<To the 4th interr> Hee deposeth and saith that he did see the said Jesper Codd the first yeare of the rebellyon in actuall Armes at Shilbeggan in the County of wexford vnder the Comand of Leiutenant Collonell William Browne the said Jesper being in the Capacity of a priuate souldyer for the Irish against the english: And that the said Patricke Ewers & Mathew Joyce serued & were in actuall <w> Armes in the forte of Roslare in the said County in or about the yeare 1643: in defending the same against the english: His cause of knowledge is that the examinant was a sarieant in the forte of Roslare aforesaid when the said Patr: & Mathew serued as priuate souldyers therein vnder the Comand of Captain Paule Turnor

<To the 7th interr> Hee saith that he verily beleiues that the said Jesper <x> Mathew & Patricke did take the oath of associacion it being a generall thing & as the deponent heard it was
