Margaret Hitchins of wexford widdow aged fiftie yeares or thereabouts Deposeth Concerning the said Thomas Masterson of Cranecrinnaght esquire deceased Deposeth and saith That this examinant was a seruant to Sir walsingham Cooke knight and In his howse in the first beginning of the Rebellyon whither the said Thomas with a great Number of men in Armes in Companie with him came about Hallantide 1641: and entered the same & plunderred and carryed away all the goods and Chattles therein to a great vallue of which company and in which action the said Thomas was the principall man and further saith not that the said Thomas raysed a Companie of souldyers with which he marched to a place called Kilrush where he was killed and afterwardes brought to T hence to his dwelling and buryed at ffernes <s> at which buryall the deponent was present and bade the Her cause of knowledge is for that the said Thomas his wife dwelt at that time in the said howse of Tomduffe out of which he the said Thomas turned the deponent & the rest of Sir walsingham Cookes seruants after he had plundered the same and went with her neighbours went from their owne howses to meet the corpes of the said Thomas as he was bringing home from the said fight of Kilrush for whose death the said Thomas his wife his kinsfolke & acquaintance made great lamentacion and further saith not &c
