The examinacion of Robert Browne of Knockingall yeoman aged thirty yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning John Parle late of Rathyarke & now of Bannow farmer
<To the 1st inter> The examinant deposeth that the said John dwelt at Rathyarke distant a quarter of a mile from this deponents habitacion in the <k> first yeare & the whole time of the rebellyon, from whence the said John did not remooue into the english quarters as Nicholas Row a protestant his the said Johns nigh neighbour did
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> Interr the deponent saith that the said John Parle was in Christmas 1641: a priuate souldyer in Collonell William Brownes Company at the seige of Duncannon forte in Armes, acting & abetting the Rebellyon in that Capacity, His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent <l> was one of the said Company at the time & vpon the seruice aforesaid when & where he did see the said John Parle &c
