Nicholas Stafford of Codstowne gent aged about Sixtie six yeares Deposeth concerning the foresaid Redmond Roch gent vizt
That the said Redmond dwelt and continued in the Irish quarters the first yeare & the residue of the <m> Rebellyon without remoouing himselfe into the english quarters as Sir Walsingham Cooke knight Mr Tristeen, Mr ffountaine, Mr Lee & other english & protestants in and neere that barronie did The Deponents cause of knowledge is for that the Deponent dwelt nigh to, & was well acquainted with the said Redmond & frequentlie with him at his house: And further saith That the said Redmond did contribute to the maintenance of the Irish forces in the first yeare of the said Rebellion, the contribucion being soe generall a thing that none could decline the payment thereof as he conceiueth: And further saith That Thomas Roch son to the said Redmond Roch was high constable in the barronie of Ballaghkeen about the seacond or third yeare of the Rebellion as the deponent heard
