<7> The Examination of William Stafford Gentleman taken in behalfe of the Comonwealth <e> Concerninge Captain Thomas Roch whoe dyed in duncanon forte before the surender thereof.
<to the first interro> sath that the said Roch did in the first yeare of the warr liue at furlongstowne in the <f> Barrony of Shilmaleer part of his owne estate and h seauerall yeares after at the same place It beinge in the Irish Quarters and sath that the said Roch might haue remoued into the english Quarters any as many English did but not without danger to loose his estate

<to the 3o interro> sath that the said Roch did in the first yeare of the warr and before the 10th of Nouember 1642 actually Contrebute and subscribe to <g> Contrebute to raise mony men and prouissions for the Irish seruice and was in the Countye melitia for the Irish
<to the 4th interro> sath that the said Roch was before against duncannon in the first yeare of the warrs and was that it was the Charge of the said Roch <h> to be before duncanon and that for the most part and that the said Roch was accordingly against the said duncannon vntell it was taken from the Lord Esmond and that the said Roch did in July 1642 did nere the hooke fall vpon a partye of English at nere the hooke where that belonged to duncanon and killed and tooke about one hundred and sent the head of Captain Austen senior the Comander of { }
