The Examinacion of Nickolas Stafford Esquire taken the on the behalfe of the Comon [ ] wealth concerninge the aforesaid ffrances Talbot and Walter talbot
<to the 1st interro> this deponent sath that the said ffrances and Walter did liue in the first yeare of the warr and since in the towne of Waxford beinge the Irish quarters and sath that the said partyes might haue remoued them <z> selues into the Englsih Quarters as others did out of the said towne of Waxford and that the said ffrancis liued and dyed a protestan{t} and that the said Walter was and is a papist
<to the 2 interro> he can no depose
<to the 3 interro> and this deponent sath that the said [ Tal ] ffrancis dyed about two yeares after the warr begane and the said Walter suruiued and <a> paid Contrebution to the maintainance of the Irish forces as this deponent verelye beleiueth
<to the rest of the interrogetoryes> he can not depose
