Isack Quary aged about fifty eight yeares being further duly sworne & Examined saith
<3 A> That he knew Captain ffennell & that he the said Captain ffene{ll} and Captain Shurlocke who in the first yeare of the Rebellion did with a Company of ffoot souldiers about the Number of 700 as th some of the said souldiers reported when and where they did come to the towne of Capperqueen when and where the said souldiers did burne the most parte of the said towne & therein was burnt at the same tyme by the said soldiers one Nicholas Wall; And Richard Sowton and foure women one seruant mayd and a childe alsoe was Murthered the then by the said soulders alsoe) this Deponents cause of knowledge is that he was then a soldyer in the said Towne vnder the Command of Captain Croker and at the time of the fireing of the said Towne he was vpon the Guard and further saith not
