Examinations taken before vs this 28th of August 1652 Touching the Murder made in Cashell
<1)> Donnogh O Quine of Cashell adged about 50 yerez deposeth vpon oath that att the time when Phillipe O dwyer Came to Cashell the Deponent sayeth that Phillipe MakThomas O Dwyer toke from <A> Frances Bannester Runing away Naked A Napkine Of Mony Nott Knowing the sume Alsoe sayeth that a Hatter an English man the deponentt Knowing [ ] not His name sayeth the sayed Hatter was Slayne but per by whom Hoome He Knoweth not but sayeth the foarsayd phillipe tooke away out of the sayd Hatters House a Siluer Cupp and further sayth Nott

as Shee sayeth mett:

<2.> Thomas Kearney of Kilfeakile within the Count. of Tipperary aged about 36 yeares deposeth that at he was <B> in Cashell when Phillipp ô Dwyer with a great partie of Armed menn came vnto St Nicolas gate in Cashell aforesaid and ha ue cutted & broke open the gate, & after cominge in, fell a plounderinge all the English And further [ ] deposeth that Teige oge ô Meagher. Theobald Butler of Killoskehane, Donnogh ô Dwyer brother vnto the said Phillipp Thomas Purcell of Gortanny, John ô Dwyer of Knockgormane & his brother Edmond, with manny others whose names at the present this deponent knoweth not were were actiue haue been in that way. And further sayeth that he heard that Vllicke Boorke first apprehended Raph Carre & brought him out of his bedd And further sayeth that he saw all the partie verry busie & actiue about the plounderinge & murtheringe of the English And further sayeth not.
