The Examination off Edmond o Conoluin Aged 67 year being Examined
Saith Thatt in the year 1643 he liwed att Ahalooly To which Place A party of The English Came for A pray Comanded by maier Iepson and Amongts other Toke Away all this Examinatts <A> Cattle and hee ffollowing his Cattle hee saw To Horsmen seperatt from the rest of the party which did kille A foster Brother off this Examinatts and a s Another man and presently ther cam{e} Three more to his Asistants att which when They made Towards Them one of the Horsmen rode Away and the other whose name he vnderstood afterward was Christopher Colties his hors beinge Tired as he hard, was one ffoott and did Indewour to rune After the Horsman butt Being ower Taken by This Examinatt and the three other Teig oge being be ffor this Examinatt standing by hime an this Examinatt Coming in with A pike ran in hime in to the Arme and Then [persewing?] hime with Edmod mc Water and Jo Acrimen and this Examinentt folowed the pray and being Examatt iff he saw Any Els strick the said Colties saith hee saw beffor hee Left hime on daniell mc Owen mc Carty strick hime one the head and soe This Examinatt Left hime and thatt as he beleeus an hath Hard That Jo ocrunin an Edmond mc Watter did kill Hime and Tooke Away his Clothes and farther saith Teig o Duffe newer Told Hime hee gaue hime Any qurter nor did nott Hinder him to the Best off His memory and thatt daniell mc Owen wentt A long with him and Left Coltis standing
