<E> And the within Examinant further sayeth; that one John Thomas Clerke formerly servantt to Captain John Oge Barry, was hanged in one Hungerfords house, vpon the Lands of Garrymore by some of Captain John Oge Barry’s apointementt vpon the pretence of the stealeing of sheepe from the foresaid Captain And this Examinantt further sayeth, that to his best remembrance the said Clerke was hanged in the yeare of Cessacion or after: And he further sayeth, that one William weeks was Murthered by one Owyn Bony Carthy as the said weeks was goeing with the said John Captain Barry’s passe with a boate to kinsale for a boate to fetch away the within named Linchcome; who Captain Barry had Engaged to send safe away in the foresaid boate. And he < [ ] > further sayeth that the occasion of the said weeks his goeing for the foresaid boate was, that a boate had come two or three dayes before <ff> into the Cove at Clanakilty to fetch away Linchcome & his goods which (being shott at by some of Captain Barryes soldiers) retorned backe againe for their owne safety without him, which Captain Barry disouneing it to be by his knowledge, passed the foresaid ingage{ } wherevpon the foresaid weeks was sent & Murthered as aforesaid. And further sayeth that he heard one Berryman was hanged by one the apointmentt of Leiutenantt John Hey Leiutenantt to Captain Charles Hea, of Collonell fflorence McCarthys Regimentt. And further sayeth not.
