Saith Thatt in the Begining of the warrs This Examinantts Brother was A Trooper vnder the Comand of Sir Rodger Ashame the Lord off Killimeaky and being A broad with A party fecthing in of A pray saw A partt off Sir Rodger Ashahams men and rode vp to them att which Time They Chalengd some of the pray to bee Theirs which was restored vnto them: hee being then <A> In quarter; presenetly after this The said Jo Phipps and one Jo Brown; was Comanded owt ffrom the party as too Scotts, and seing some of Sir Rodger Ashahim men rode to them To Inqwier whether They knew off Any Enemy in the Contry; They Inclosed Them Both in and Jo Brown Being well Horsed seing their disign gott from them; which the said Jo. Phipps Cold nott doe butt was Taken prisoner by one Jo oge O Crowly being Amongts The said Sir Rodger Asham, men The sam Jo oge Crowly being also in qurter; and Caried The said Phipps whom To his hous and Cept hime Ther som time and then Caried hime To make Carty reah To the manch; and mc Carty reah gawe him to the said Jo oge Againe and he Took him and Browght him Away; and gaue him to some others To hang hime and to Take his Clothes for ther Labor The Cause of his knoledg is That he was Told soe by Teig og o Crolly dermod neenee and many others.
