The Examinacion of Alice Slabogh of Muckrome about 33 yeares of Age & liueing taken the 18th of September 1652
<Sayeth:> That about Lammas the 2d yeare of the Warres shee well remembreth that the Lord Muskery sent one Edmond McSwyney to <A> warne this Examinantts mother to prepare her selfe to goe to Corke with seuerall other English that were to goe thither, And this Examinatt further sayeth That her mother being vnwilling to goe, applyed herselfe to the Lord Muskery for his leaue to continue with this Examinant her daughter (who then was married to an Irishman in Muckrompe The Lord Muskery retorned her this answere (As this Examinatts mother told her at her retorne from the said Lord) that he would haue noe <B> such wasps to sleepe in his bosome wherevpon she desired his passe, and he told her, she had the same passe that the others had, And that there was a Convoy of the Neighbours appointed for them: And the next morneing this Examinantts mother by name Mrs Elizabeth Hussey and Henry Hussey her sonne & Katherine Hussey her daughter, And one Mrs Crocker, & her daughter And one George, a Miller & his wife & two children And one Ellen Coleman her Childe Charles Vavisyer his wife and two Children And one John Smalman a Nayler & a Collier whose name this Examinatts knoweth not were sent Marched the next morneing from Muckrompe towards Corke, And (as this Examinatt was informed by her husband who { } <A> one of Convoy) One doctor O Healy mett the foremencioned persons & ther Convoy vpon the Lands of Kilmurry & ther{ } out of the m the foresaid Collier & the Nayler sayeing that h{ } vse for them two; And saith that the foresaid Collier & Nayler { } hanged that day thereabouts: And this Examinatt furthe{r saith} that one donnough O Reardon (who had the Command of the { } devided & sent backe the party Convoy, all but one { } donnohow & Mlaughlyn O Bohill & this Examinants hus{band} { }

to Corke, But this Examinantts Mother was fearfull & said she should be <E> killed, And desired her sonne in Lawe Rich: Slabogh to take her money & her Cloaths & carry them to her daughter. And this Examinant further sayeth That her mother her sister & her Brother were brought backe neare to the foresaid fford & there all three Murthered: And shee further sayeth, that one Morto Oge Reardon, came in to haue saved this Examinantts sister when donnough O Long [ ] & three mor{e} were Murthering of them but could not prevaile: And further sayeth <f> that one John Mcdearmond of Clanndrohad neare Muckrompe had parte of the Cloathes And further sayeth not that shee heard th{at} one Phillip Hill & his two sons were Murthered in Muskery Euelann <G> but by whome shee knowes not: And that a sonne in of Lawe of one John Oakely was carried before the Lord Muskery at Blarny and there accused for sayeing that with one Troope of horse he was could burne all Muskery, but he denyed the words wherevppon the Lord Muskery sent him to the Campe to Leutennantt Generall Barry to be tryed there. And after they had condemned him, they told him (if if he would goe to Masse) they would saue his life, whereuponthe said Oakely went to Masse, and soe soone as he had done soe, they tooke him & hanged him Imeadiatly A{nd} further sayeth not
