<Kinsale ffebruary 14: 1653> Depositions taken Concerninge Richard Barry of Ballifoile in the Barrony of Keneton
<1)> Richard Cousines of Kinsale Cord[ner] Aged about 30 yeares beinge Sworne & Examined saith that in the first yeare of Rebellion he Liued att farranbrie{n?} Neere TractonAbby in the Barrony of Keneton & that hee knew Richard Barry Liuinge att Ballifoile Afforesaid this deponent Liuinge with his unkle did Remoue to Kinsale as also other English summe to one place and summe to Another And that the said Rich: Barry might also haue Remoued as well as they into the English Quarters if hee had pleased but hee Remoued farther into the Irish <2)> Quarters the Cause of this deponents knowledge is [that] his beinge present with his unkle John Brien when the said Barry Agreed with the sayd Bryen to take Care of Treshinge a quantity of the said Bryens Corne then in Haggard & that his unkle told him that Barry did not deale well with him Concerninge the said Corne & further saith Nott
