Nicholas Swainson of Putt ia n within the parish of Vrney in the County of Cavan gent aged 72 yeares or thereabouts sworne and examined deposeth and saith as followeth
That on xxvth day of October Last this examinant was robbed and spoiled by Phillipp o R foure of howsehold goods and apparell cattle [ ] worth fforty poundes or thereabouts & of corne worth above 20 marks of cattle & horses worth 200 li. of 43 li. ready mony of one leas for 16 yeres worth 80 li. 13 li. per annum and above 7 li. rent which he pe payeth, which goods and & of other goods worth about xx li., And that the same goods were taken away in the day tyme by 30 persons at the least whose names this examinant knoweth not, but says they were of that h e the next day kne w & sawe them to be of the company and vnder the Command of Phillipp o Rely mc Hugh mc Shane o Rely of the parish of Annagh & County of Cavan Esquire & of Hugh mc Mullmore o Rely of Killyvaghan in the parish of Drumgowne and County aforesaid Esquire & Mullmore m c Edmond o Rely of Cav e t in the County of Cavan Esquire And saith alsoe that he was alsoe then robbed of another leas for 16 yeres to come worth 40 s. per annum above the rent And the rebells that soe robbed this examinant sayd they would kill him this examinant, his wife & children ife they shold resist them: wherevpon And after the re be ls had stript taken them of their goods they other rebells stript him his wife & 4 children of there clothes those being 2000 in number as he thincketh And saith that 2 of his daughters were alsoe stript whose husbands were formerly slayne in the County of ffarmanagh, And this deponents wife being old was carryed away on his sonns back & brought her about 6 myles & then he was forced to leave her by the way: but what is now becomen of her he knows not
