<Mallow March the 7th 1653> Deposicions taken Concerninge Re d mond Garrett Barry of Lisgriffine in the Barrony of Orrery and County of Corke gent in the yeare 1641
Phillip Holmes of Moyalloe gentleman Aged forty foure yeares. being Duly Sworne and Examined, Saith, that hee liued at Kilbolane in the yeare aforesaid,
That hee Knew the said Garrett Barry in Actuall Armes against the English
That hee was Captain of a Company of ffoote in the Irish Army
This Deponents Cause of Knowledge is that the Said Garrett Barryes Company came to Kilbolane aforesaid, where the deponent then liued, who with about fourteene men with him & fell vppon the said Company & Disarmed them greatest Parte of them. & they Confessed to be of the said Garrett Barryes Company
