<Mallow March 7th 1653> Depositions taken Concerninge Cnogh{er} รณ C[ ] Donnogh Dermond Mc Carthy Alias Mc Donnogh of the Barrony Durhallow in the County of Corke in the yeare 41
William Arnell of Mallow in the County of Corke Gentleman Aged about 36 yeares beinge Sworne and Examined saith that hee Liued att Mallow afforesaid in the yeare 41
That he was in Actuall Armes with the Eneimy and was Comander in Cheife of the partie in the afforesaid Barrony in opposition to the English in the yeare 41
The Cause of this deponent knowledge is that hee hath often Seine the afforesaid Carty and did obserue his Actings for that hee Came to summon oppose the Garrison of Mallow in which this deponent was then in
