<Mallow March the 7o 1653> Deposicions taken Concerninge William fitzRichard Gibbon of Killtoige in the Barrony of Killmore & County of Corke Gent, in the yeare 1642 on Goodfryday
John Grigge of Mallow gent Aged thirty fiue yeares being Duly Sworne and Examined Saith
That the Said Gibbon was in Actuall Armes against the English in the yeare aforesaid
The Cause of this Deponents Knowledge is that, hee and Some others went from the Garrisone of Ballyhay to fetch Some Cattle for the Releife of that Garrison, and were Sett vppon at their Returne, by the Said Gibbon with a Party of foote vnder his Comande
