<Mallow: March the 11o 1653> Deposicions taken Concerning John Dannan: of Dannanstowne in the Barrony of ffermoy & County of Corke gent in the yeare 1642
Garrett Hetherington of Doneraile in the Barrony & County aforesaid, Aged 44 yeares being duly Sworne & Examined Saith,
That the Said Dannane was Actiue with the Earle of Castlehauen in the yeare aforesaid at the takeing of Doneraile aforesaid by the said Castlehauen;
This Deponents Cause of Knowledge is, that hee being in the Castle of Doneraile when it was Surendered, to the said Castlehauen saw the said Dannane goeing into the said Castle; and was opposed by Comisary Generall Dongan who tould him that hee should Not plunder any man there, yett Notwithstanding this Deponent Saw him goe into the said Castle afterwardes, & further saith not,
