<Bandon Aprill 10th 1654> Anthony Deposicions taken Concerning Teige O Norsey of the Toher Castle in the Barrony of Carbery in the yeare 41
Anthony Coates of Bandon in the County of Corke aged about 30 yeares being Sworne & examined Saith
That hee was in actuall Armes in the begining of the warres
The Cause of this deponents knowledge is that hee & some others of the English was in a strong howse in the Barrony of Carbery & there Came a great Company of the Iresh party & besieged the howse & would haue forced there entrance the English standing out, made their Condiccions McCarty Reogh Comaunding in Chiefe & the said Teige O Norsey Comaunded vnder him & ffurther saith not
