<Bandon March Aprill 14th 1654> Depositions taken Concerning Thomas Daniell McTei{g} Carty alies McDaniell, of Desert in the Barrony Barretts in the County of Corke in the yeare 1641
Richard Hawes of Bandon in the County of Corke gent aged about 50 yeares being sworne & examined Saith
That hee knewe the said Daniell Mc Teige Carty being in actuall Armes in against the State in the said yeare 4{1?}
The Cause of this deponents Knowledge is that hee Comeing from Corke to his ffathers howse, at Cornody in the Barrony of Barrets aforesaid hee found there the aforesaid Daniell Mc Teige Carty & Charles McOgen Carty then Possesed of this deponents how s ffathers howse with eighteene men in Armes, & from whence they Carried away of this deponent his ffathers goodes to the Value of One Thousand Pounds & ffurther saith nott
