And the said Alexander farther deposeth that about the beginning off ffebruary last one Ac Ensigne William Pue of Glaslough in the County of Monaghan was being stripped and Robbed and expulsed, by the Rebells was seven tymes in one Daye taken vp & hanged vpon a tree & taken downe <f> for dead euery tyme by Patrick Duffe mc hugh mc Rosse a Captain of the Rebells neere Monaghan, which Cruelty was practised att the instigation of Patricke Mother mcWade who had informed that the said William Pue had monys the Confession & Knowledg whereof they was intended to be extracted by the foresaid horrid vsage
