sligoe 14th of may 1653
John mcfarrell mcdonnogh of Ramullyn sayeth that hee was did not beare armes vntill the moneth of february 1653. And that then hee became livetenant vnto the before mencioned Tomultagh murry mcdonnogh in the army Comaunded by maior <B> gennerall Taaffe, which was longe after the preyinge & killinge at the Abby of Boile: And denieth absollutely that hee was at the said killinge, or had any man at that tyme vnder his Comaund or that hee in person, or any by his procurement or advice went on the said expedition or infall, or that hee euer hearde, or advised Concerninge the same. And further sayeth not.
