The Examinacion of Teig Kelly of Aghrim Concerneing the Murther of John Hickman Trooper in Capt: Lestrang <A> his Troope taken before the vndernamed Commissioners of Reuenue at Gallway Febr. the 9o 1652
Who being Exammined saith that about the begining of August 1651 he liued himself at Callan, but his seruants & Tenants kept at his house at Aghrim which was then in his Possession, and that he was at that time in Protection, and being Examined whether any of the horsmen belonging to the Parliaments fforces came at that time neere Aghrim (that lay then about Beallanasloe) he saith that he knoweth not, but he heard that they were in Camp there. being Examined whether he heard of a Trooper that was killed in Aghrim about that time, he saith he heard not of it then, nor since till very lately, and being further Examined saith he heard a flying report of it he knoweth not when, but the certeinty of it he vnderstood but of late <B> being demaunded by whome the said Murther was Committed saith by one ffarragh Kelly and Theobald Coghlan & Brien Kelly this Examinants brother, his Cause of knowledge is that when he had notice of the Order for his owne apprehension Concerneing the same he Enquired of the matter amongst his Tenants, One Terrence King, Brien mcCon Cart, & Honor Cooge, & Exammineing the Cause of their knowledg saith that as they told him they saw the abouenamed goeing out of Towne with a horseman and further told him that they gaue out that they would Carry the said horseman to the

the Lord Prescots Camp: for some Cowes he had <C> taken from them which is the full substance of what he Could vnderstand from them, And being further Examined whether he spake to his Brother Brien Kelly or reproued him Concerneing the said Murther saith that he neuer spake to him Concerneing it nor euer came at him since And further he saith not
