The volluntarie Informacion of Gregory Crooke taken before mee Thomas ffugill esquire one of the Justices of the peace for the Towne and Countie of Drogheda the 21th day of Aprill 1653 vpon his Corporally oath volluntarly.
The said Informant deposeth. and saith that before this rebellion hee Lived with his father att a place called Ballarushe in the Countie of Monaghan betweene <A> Dundalk and CarrickmcRosse, and att the begininge of the Rebellion Thomas Parker beeinge before the said Rebellion a servant vnto this Informants father was murthered att a place called Eniskeane by one Ardell mc Mahowne and Bryan mcMahowne of Eniskeane aforesaid. who did first shoote him, and afterwards stoned him to death allmost, and then most barbarouslie and Crewelly buryed him alive; The Cause of this Informants knowledge is that hee was then in the Towne when the said Ardell mc Mahowne and Bryan mcMahowne did take away the said Thomas Parker was taken out of his howse in Ballarushe aforesaid,
