<(3)> The Examination of John Mc Can sometime seruant to Mr Henry Stanaway of Clancan in the County of Ardmagh taken befor vs George Talbotts and Roger Lyndon Esquirs the 6o of May 1653
Who saith that in the begining of the warr, Carbary Og Mc Can with his sonn Bryan McCan came to Mr Stanawayes house and possest themselues thereof allow{ed} the said Stanaway and his servants two roomes to bee in and 6 weekes after they were Carryed to Ardmagh where Mr Stanaway died of the Country disease, hee deposeth that hee knew Robert Bumby late Tennant to his said Master Mr Stanaway who was taken awa{y} by two men, and that (as hee was tould by the Inhabitants of the Country) these two men hanged thim the said Robert Bumby within two miles of his said Masters house, whose names hee could not learne, And more saith not.
