The Examination of William Codd of 4 Myle water Adged 50 yeares, taken before vs the 20th of May 1653
This Examinet saith, that a day or two after the Lurgan was burnt, there came a messenger from the Ireish, to Sir William Brumlowes Castle, demaunding both Towne and Castle, to <A> bee yeelded vp, or otherwise the Ireish would put them to fire and sword, And hee came twice to that purpose, with threatening words, And hee saith that his name was Neece mc Conwell, concerning B r y an Roe Maginnis and Pattrick dugh mc Conwell, hee can say nothing
