The Examinacion of Gorre รด Rush Aged about 59 yeres whoe being Examined saith
That at the begining of the Rebellion hee Livd on the Towne Land of Ballinah ffoy was fforced from thence by a party of Scotts vnder the Command of Captain Hamilton deceased & was forced to swim ouer the great River that parts the County of downe & Antrim for his life there being then slaine by that party of the Scots to the Number of about seventy persons at the Least men weomen & Children of the Irish Nation And that one of the men that was active therein as hee is informed was Dauid Shaw, whoe now Inhabitts as hee is Informed about Castell Reah, but saith that Captain John Elliss can giue further Information herein, And William Stuart Boate man at Belfast
