The Examination of Lieut Montgomery aged about twenty nyne yeeres taken the 6: May 1653
Who being sworne sayeth that he was one of those that were sett upon in the pace of Dundrum by an Irish party, about some foure yeers agoe or fyue yeers the next haruest He sayeth that he did not then [ ] knowe the faces of any of those that sett upon them as aforesayd But he sayeth that about a yeere after Bryan Mchelhenny [ ] (being then come in upon protection) told this Examinant that he the sayd Mc elhenny was one of those that sett upon him this examinant and others and took their cattle; and that he was one of those that pursued hard after this examinant; And that he did endeavour to his uttermost to haue taken him And further he sayeth not
