The Examination of William Hamilton taken before vs the 27th of May 1653
Who saith that Captain John Woll then his Leutenant & Commanding the Garrison of Ardglass in summer 1643 commanded this Examinant with more soldiers then in the sayd Garrison ouer night to rise early in the next morning, to goe into the towne, and there or wher <C> els they could finde any that had no protections, to kill them, where they found four men in seuerall places of the towne and killed them, but what their names were hee knowes not. And saith that they did not finde Ginnicock Sauadge then in towne, nor did they enquire after him And further sayth not
