The examinacion of Mariory Watson wife to Rich: Watson Collier of Kilwarlin aged fiue fifty yeares or thereabouts taken at Lisnegaruy 2 May 1653
Who being duely sworne & examined vpon oath saith that she being liuing at her M aster r Rich Dobbs house her Mr within halfe a mile of Lisnegaruy at Lisnetrank shortly after the Rebellion, there <A> came one euening a party vnder the comand of Lewy Oge o Haughian as she heard consisting of abowt fourty men (or vpwards of the Ir i sh to John Abrams house neere adioyning to the said Richard Dobbs where they compassed his house round & shott at the doore being shutt, & afterwards broke it open & stripped this Examinant who chanced then to be there & also such others as were then in the house & wounded John Abram very sore, but killed none to her knowledge And being demanded if she knew any of those men which were with Lewy oge Haughian saith that she did not know [ ] off any one man that was there but as it was told afterward vnto her by the said John Abram that [ ] it was one Lewy oge o Haughian which comanded the party & also Hen: Duffe mc Hamell which was one in his company being all which was related by name vnto her to be there And further saith that there was kild at that time plac two men the one named John Spratt she hath bein informed & another whose name she doth not know, And the cause of her knowledge is that she saw their Corps stript & wounded in two Gardens neere the said Rich: Dobbs house the next morning &c
