The Examinacion of Archbold Stewart about 50 yeares taken the 18o May 16{53}
Whoe being duely sworne & Examined saith what hee doth knowe A{} concerninge the Massacre of William ffynly & his Brother with a {} persons more of men weomen & Children being of the protestant In{} of the parish of Armoy, which ffled thence to wards Bally caste{} <A> saith that hee was Informed by severall of the Country as{} came from Colerane to Ballentoy, that these persons { } in the Church of Ramone within a quarter of a mile of Bal{} by Hugh ô Dullenan Pattricke ô Dullinan, Donnohy Mc{} McCawley with severall others of the ô dullinans & McAll{esters}
And further saith that the persons aboue mencioned tooke in to tha{ } for shelter, by reason they heard that Ballycastell where the {} of Antrim was. was taken by the Enimye as this Examinante { } And that the men that was in the said howse of Ballycastell was {} by Daniell Gor McDonnell whoe was afterwards kild at Glanmaquin/
And being demaunded whither Coll Mc Allester was at the { } of the persons above mencioned in the Church of Ramore, saith t{ } did not heere that hee was there that day but did heere that hee was { } next day to Ballycastell, And did allso heere that hee was p{ } the Hill neare Portnagree hard by Ballycastell, when Donna{} McCawly kild ffoure Brittish in Portnagree, And further sa{ith not}
