The examinacion of Turlogh Murchy of Ballinderry in Com: Antrim aged two & thirty yeares or thereabouts taken 10 May 1653 upon oath
Who saith that he l Liued in the begining of the Rebellion at Ballinderry aforesaid, & a little after he did heare by comen report in the Country & from the Irish themselues that there were two English men murdered (one or both whereof were Tailors by their trades but their names he knew not) within two miles of Ballinderry aforesaid neer vnto one John Porters house, & that Patt: O Hallan & Cullo McKnocker now prisoners were the Actors he heard in it of it (as was reported) Also he heard from two of his neighbours John Carudders & Edw: Hogg that their two wiues were kild & two woemen more the first winter in the Rebellion at Bally Elwash in the parish of Ballinderry aforesaid & that Owen McTrelauy & Neille McTrelauy & two of the Dauyes & others were actors in the said murders & being demanded if he knew where any of the said persons are, saith he belieues there are none of them liueing And further saith not
