<Mallow March 7th 1653>
Depositions taken Concerning Dermond Iralagh Alias Callahane of GurttRoe in the Barrony of Dwohallow and County of Corke in the yeare 1641
Richard Baniard of Mallow in the County of Corke Aged about 30 yeares beinge Sworne and Examined saith that hee Liued att GurttRoe the yeare 1641 and that hee Knew the afforesaid Iralagh Liuinge as afforesiad the Same yeare
That hee the said Iralagh was in Actuall Rebellion in the yeare 1641
The Cause of this deponent knowledge is that hee was stript by the afforesaid Iralagh and turned Naked to the Garrison of Mallow which was then an English Garrison and also this said deponent Saw the said Iralagh disArme and strip one Peter Drake hee and beinge an Englishman Likewise and was Keeper of a Parke for the then Lord president
