<Mallow March the 7th 1653> Deposicons taken Concerninge Oliuer Stephenson of the County of Limbricke Gent, in the yeare 1641
Christopher Webb, of Mallow Aged twenty seauen yeares being Duly sworne and Examined saith that hee liued in Archkeaton in the County of Limbricke in the yeare aforesaid
That the said Stephenson was in Actuall Armes against the English in the yeare 1641
This Deponents Cause of Knowledge is that hee was in the Castle of Archkeaton aforesaid when the said Castle was taken by the Irish and that after the said Castle it was surrendered hee saw the said Stephenson Amongst that party that tooke the said Castle and was Called by the name of Maior Generall, The Deponent further saith that hee had a passe from him and Lieutenant Generall Purcell after the Castle was surendered to Repaire to Rathgoggan Castle in the County of Corke
