The humble petticion of Colonell Lewes Moore
To the Right honorable the heigh Courte of Justice sitting at Dublin
Humbly sheweth that your petticioner submitting to the Comonwealth of England uppon the Articles of Kilkenny in May 1652 and laying downe Armes accordingly hath beene aboute the beginning of Agust then next ensuing apprehended and committed uppon suspition of Murther: since which time as knowne to your honors hee hath indured in the seuerall Marshialsies of Kilkenny and Dublin where in reliueing his necessities hee hath exhausted and consumed the liuelihood of wife, Childerin, and Famely by which seuerall of his famely, and Childerin, haue perished for want of necessary food.
His humble request therefore is if hee doth appeare in Your honors Justice guiltless of any Criminall matter that yow may bee grasiously pleased both in Charity and in refererence to the [ ] Anexed Articles and chifely the second and fourth Article to licence his transportation with the next conueniecy for spayne or Flanders and in the interim to order his Inlargment hee intering sufficient security for his said Transportation, and hee as in duty bound will

By the High Courte of Justice Sittinge at Dublin
Vpon readinge of the within peticion of Colonell Lisagh alias Lewis Moore Prisoner, and Consideracion had thereon, It is ordered That the said Petitioner Doe Continue Prisoner vntill hee shall giue good Security to Transporte himselfe with the next Conveniencye out of this land into some fforraigne Partes in Amitye with the Comonwealth of England And that hee Enter into Recognizance with Sufficient Suertyes before Sir Gerrard Lowther & Sir Edward Bolton Knights James Donelan & Thomas Dongan Esquires Members of this Courte and Comissioners for Administracion of Justice at Dublin or any two or more of them to goe Directly from the Marshalsie where hee now is the Straight way to the Shipp that hee shalbee transported in as aforesaid and goe aboard the said Shipp in the Habor where the Same lyeth and not Departe from aboard the said Shipp vntill the same shall leave the said Harbor and shall procure and Retorne vnto the Register of this Courte or to the Clarke of the Criminall Pleas of the Courte of Administracion of Justice at Dublin a Certificate of his takeinge Shippinge for transportacion as aforesaid vnder the hand of the Cheife Gouernor for the tyme beinge of the Garrison next Adjoyneinge to the place wherein hee shall take shippinge, and the Capt or Maister of the said Shipp of the tyme of his soe takeinge Shippinge within twenty Dayes next after hee shalbee soe Shipped and shall alsoe procure and Retorne as aforesaid a Certificate from

the said Capt or Maister of the said Shipp of the tyme and Place of his Landinge in such said fforaigne Partes whereinto hee shalbee transported within six Monthes after the tyme hee shall take Shippinge to be transported as aforesaid And that hee the said Colonell Moore shall not retorne into any of the Nations or Dominions of the Comonwealth of England without sufficient Licence from some Person or Persons well qualified and Enabled to giue the same Then the said Comittee are to give order, to the Marshall in whose Custody the petitioner Remaineth to Enlardge the Body of the said Lisagh Moore payeing his ffees If hee been Deteyned for noe other Cause then the Comittall of this Courte Dated the 29th Day of June 1654
