Sir
I am now vpon my goeing into England and if any thinge, I haue saide in my examination before Sir Robert Meredeth that may proue to your preuidice, I humbly and earnest desire youre pardone, for I protest before God it was more for terror and the languidge he vsed, that he would hange me, and turne the boultes from my heales to my neecke, then any illwill I hade to your worship so in hope I haue saide nothing may hurt you nor yours
